Community Operations Specialist (F/M student)
We are looking for someone to assist us with community relations, including managing our social media presence on LinkedIn and Facebook, organizing webinars and online events, and ensuring that our in-person events run smoothly. You will not be alone in this, we will all help in our separate roles, but you will be the one responsible for making it happen in time, achieving desired results, and maintaining the desired pace. Your primary focus will be on fostering a positive and engaging environment for our community members, while also identifying and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
Who is an ideal candidate:
- Student – 4th or 5th year of schooling, or equivalent last year of studying
- You have up to 20 hours per week available to work with us
- You are willing to come to the office most of the time as some of the tasks will require physical presence and we do all show-up physically most days as we are a small team
- You are positive-thinking and self-driven individual willing to learn and grow over time
- You have a passion for technology and digital communication
- You enjoy interacting with people and using social media

Your key responsibilites:
- Managing social media accounts and creating engaging content (copywriting, editing, creating visuals)
- Organising our social media presence – editorial calendar, budget for advertising
- Monitoring, responding, and managing comments and inbox communication with the general population
- Managing different external partners on your project - designers, advertising agency, speakers, sponsors, vendors
- Organising webinars and ensuring they happen, helping with webinar recording, helping with creating visuals, writing webinar descriptions for landing pages
- Organising in person events - making sure they happen, sending out invitations, coordinating speakers
- Identifying opportunities for community growth and engagement, and working with other stake holders to develop and execute campaigns to achieve these goals
- Serving as a brand ambassador and promoting customer satisfaction
- Building and maintaining relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and customers
What we expect you to organise:
- Up to 15 webinars per year
- Up to 10 in-person events per year
- Social media calendar with 1-2 posts a week
To do this you will need (or learn on the way) a specific set of skills:
- Decent knowledge of English in written and spoken form (as we have many meetings in English with our partners and customers)
- Skilled in communication, both written and verbal
- Basic graphic editing skills - this can be Photoshop/Illustrator or Canva, Figma… any tool you are familiar with (even PowerPoint) that will help you create Social Media graphics. Do not worry, we do have external designers to help when things get rough and guide you if needed
- Basic copywriting skills - you do not have to be Edgar Allan Poe, but at least some creativity is expected
- Basic knowledge of how Facebook/LinkedIn/Google advertising works - you will work directly with a marketing agency so you will need to know key terms and understand the underlying processes – you can learn this on the go
- Good self-organisation skills as well as a desire to learn how to manage small projects
- Self-motivation - willingness to learn and strive for continuous improvement
- Event organisation which can be developed through experience. You just need to be organised, everything else we can teach you
